Tonic International adds 4 new Tonicians to the Dubai family

We’ve been so busy partying and celebrating the departure of Sally and Iya these past weeks, that we almost forgot to celebrate the arrival of four newbies to the family.

So before they start thinking of poking us with sharp objects, let me introduce you to Samia, Sara, Sneha and Tamer.

Samia, known as “The Whip Cracker” in the Tonic family, comes from glamorous Paris, and she looks like she just stepped out of one of its famous catwalks. But don’t be fooled by her towering looks, she’s also got a brain.
With a Bachelors in Business Administration by EMLV and a Master’s Degree in Information Systems by ISC Business School in Paris. Samia joins Tonic as a Trainee Business Executive on BIC, Skoda, PZ Cussons and Yas Waterworld.
With us she expects to gain a solid experience in advertising and to finish her thesis. By the looks of it she’ll stay a long time in the crazy Tonic family (at her request, if possible with her desk next to Sara’s for gossip).

Sneha, known as “The Catalyst”, is like the UN on legs. Of Indian origin and Spanish birth, with a Dubai childhood and an Australian education, cultural diversity has been deeply ingrained within her.
Her time at RMIT University (Melbourne, Australia) took her one step closer to realising her dream and helped her understand the intricacies and nuances of advertising from a fresh perspective.
Currently at Tonic as an Business Executive, along with familiarising herself with the place and getting to know the Tonicians, she is busy on Audi, Skoda and Yas Waterworld. In the coming weeks, she hopes she’ll finally meet Hobo back from his long leave!

Sara, known as “The Link”, originally from Jordan, was born and raised in the UAE, and recently graduated from the American University of Sharjah with a Bachelor in Design Management and a minor in Marketing.
She joined the Tonic family in February as a Junior Business Executive after interning here last summer. So far, she’s had many “Tonic” nicknames, most of which Mamta and Sarah came up with, “Disney”, “Hummer”, and for a while it was “Rachel” (which she didn’t necessarily like) because she just loves to sing… much like the cast of Glee… only a bit more low key!
The accounts she’s currently working on are flydubai, Dubai Sports World and National Bank of Fujairah.

Tamer, yes we also hire men, is known as “The Witch Doctor”. Born in Cairo where he also studied Integrated Marketing Communication before moving to Dubai in 2007. He’s mostly always worked in advertising, moved from Y&R to TBWA to Tonic worked mostly on Automotive – Ford, Land Rover, Nissan and now Audi and Skoda.
He loves working for Tonic. The challenging environment is exactly what he was looking for. Handling Audi which is pretty cool as he loves the brand which is another reason he feels lucky to work for Tonic. He is looking to grow more into the business and help the agency grow bigger and better.

As you see, we’ve added nicely to our family of crazy yet lovely people. The jury is still out on the craziest but the newbies give a special mention to Yara Fawaz. The loudest and most hyperactive, she’s also Tamer’s supplier of cucumbers in the morning and fruits in the afternoon.
